HEARTBURN/GAS/BLOATING Natural Remedies:
Papaya Mints/Enzymes
Apple Cider Vinegar - 1oz up to 3x per day
Sleep on a slight incline
Avoid trigger foods (spicy, peppermint, caffeine, etc), and eat smaller meals (taking smaller bites and chewing thoroughly as well)
Baking Soda (1 tbsp in 8oz water)
Mustard (1tsp)
OTC: Antacids for heartburn(in moderation): Tums or comparable store brands
Simethicone for gas pains: -Gas-X or comparable store brands
For severe heartburn and indigestion with no relief from above omeprazole or esomeprazole: Found in Prilosec or Nexium best taken daily and only after the first trimester

Unsweetened cranberry juice 8-10oz a day or cranberry supplement as directed
Eliminate all sugars and simple carbs. The bacteria actually breeds on sugar and prevents healing
Avoid bathing in the tub. Take showers instead while you're dealing with this.
OTC Symptom Relief: AZO Urinary Pain Relief (Maximum Strength) or comparable store brand with the active ingredient Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride. Avoid products containing sodium salicylate.
If you notice blood in your urine at any time and/or your symptoms persist/worsen call your midwives during business hours to come in for a urine culture and or have antibiotics called in.
BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS Natural Remedies:
Hylafem pH use as directed
Boric Acid Suppositories (not to ingest) as directed 7-10 days

YEAST INFECTIONS Natural Remedies: Dietary changes (especially for yeast/candida):
Avoid carbohydrates and sugars. Yeast breeds on these and will not dissipate if you do not eliminate these from your diet.
Hylafem pH use as directed
Boric Acid Suppositories (not to ingest) as directed 7-10 days
Candex use as directed
OTC: Clotrimazole / Miconazole found in: - Monistat 7 day or comparable store brands
If the above does not work or you would prefer a prescription, call or message your midwives during business hours to get a prescription medication called in for you
INSOMNIA, RESTLESS LEG, LEG CRAMPS Natural Remedies:
Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc taken one hour prior to your bedtime
Epsom Salt: - One cup salts added to bath (or foot soak if you do not like baths) one hour prior to bedtime for a minimum of 20-30 minutes
Dietary: Bananas/Kiwi for restless leg and leg cramps, eaten one hour prior to bedtime
Magnesium Lotion (topical) by Ancient Minerals (found on Amazon or at Target) one hour prior to bedtime
Tart Cherry Juice: 1 cup before bed
Melatonin: 3mg, 20 minutes before bed
OTC: Diphenhydramine: such as Unisom or comparable store brands
THRUSH Natural Remedies:
Eliminate carbohydrates and sugars. Yeast thrives on sugar and will not dissipate if you do not eliminate these from your diet. Also clean bras every day and don’t wear bras if you are at home.

Diaper Rash and Thrush by Mother’s Love - apply to baby’s bottom if there is a rash and apply to nipples after nursing - ½ a capsule mixed with breastmilk 2x per day for newborn
Grapefruit Seed Extract tablets: mom only - 1 tablet 3x daily
Grapefruit Seed Extract oil: - dilute using 10 drops in one ounce of DISTILLED water - use a cotton swab and swab baby’s mouth and your nipples before and after every feeding

CLOGGED DUCTS/MASTITIS Natural Remedies:
Feed on demand and do not try to over empty breasts
Wear supportive bra
Ice (every hour or more frequently)
Sunflower or soy lecithin (2 capsules daily)
Lymphatic drainage/massage (light touch only)
Add in Probiotic if not already taking
Homeopathic Phytolacca: Take 2 pellets every 15 minutes
Sunflower Lecithin: 2 capsules every 2-3 hours Do not over-nurse on mastitis/plugged duct side, & nurse on unaffected side first
No tight bras or underwire, no sports bras
